TAL Assister Program: Supporting women on and off the field
Community -With the 2024 AFLW season officially underway, we’re excited to announce that we’re continuing our support of talented AFLW athletes through our TAL Assister Program. Designed to assist athletes to stay in the game they love, the TAL Assister Program helps support women in the AFLW through sponsorship, flexible career opportunities, positive engagement and mentoring.
This year, the program will fund 12 scholarships for emerging AFLW talent to receive bespoke leadership training. This initiative is dedicated to empowering emerging talent to reach their full potential by embracing their experiences and skills learned through sport.
Alex Homer, TAL Chief Customer and Brand Officer, says it’s an honour to be the official Life Insurance Partner of the AFLW.
“TAL is an organisation committed to supporting the health and financial wellbeing of Australians,” he said. “The TAL Assister Program allows us to help AFLW athletes be well protected and supported in building a life for themselves and their families.” To celebrate the new AFLW season and the second year of the TAL Assister Program, we’ve created some short videos sharing the stories of three of the AFLW’s brightest stars.
