Welcome to TAL News & Views
Industry -Welcome to the February 2025 edition of our newsletter.
First, thanks to those of you who recently completed our annual RepTrak reputation survey. We really value you sharing your perspective and experience, which helps us understand how we can continue to improve in 2025 and beyond.
As the new year begins, we’re focused on driving innovation to offer even greater support for you and your members, and our first launch in 2025 is our new self-service Power BI dashboards. Roll out of training sessions for these kicks off in the coming weeks. The new dashboards provide richer data insights across claims and underwriting, and the training aims to help you get the most out of the platform. Look out for more details on this soon and if you need more information in the meantime, please speak to your partnership manager.
Last week, the Australian Government announced it will introduce mandatory service standards for all large APRA‑regulated super funds, covering the processing of death benefits, handling of life insurance claims in super, and member communications.
TAL is committed to ensuring insurance claims are handled efficiently, fairly and with care and we welcome the announcement. We will work with our super fund partners, their administrators and the Government to help develop claims processing standards that deliver better outcomes and experiences for all members.
We also continue to collaborate closely with our partners to meet their compliance needs. Our current focus is on ensuring each of our partners is fully prepared for the implementation of the CPS 230 requirements on 1 July.
New TAL Health for Life video
Based on feedback from our partners, we’ve created a new video to help explain our Health for Life proposition. The video showcases our holistic approach throughout a member’s health journey and can also be used to support your conversations with employers.
