Launching 1 March 2017: SMS payment notifications for members

From 1 March 2017, we will send an SMS to members who are eligible to receive an income protection payment directly from TAL.

The SMS will notify the member that their payment will reach their bank account within 24-48 hours. This initiative is designed to help alleviate member concerns around their income protection payments, by providing advance notice of when their payment is due.

How the SMS initiative works:

Step 1:

TAL will schedule an SMS text for all income protection payments, to be made directly by TAL, processed before 3.30pm on that day.

Step 2:

Those members will receive an SMS notifying them of an upcoming payment at approximately 3.30pm.

Step 3:

If a member wishes to opt out of these payment notifications, they can call our toll free number, 1800 101 019, and we will remove the member from all future notifications.
