ASFA Conference: It’s a wrap

Industry -

At the first of two ASFA conferences for 2023, it was great to again partner with ASFA as a platinum sponsor. As always, it was a wonderful opportunity to bring together superannuation industry professionals to explore the big issues, exchange ideas and learn about emerging trends.

Life is for living

This time our conference theme was Life is for living and our stand demonstrated the different ways we can help Australians take the lead  and own their own health and wellbeing journey to create work-life balance and enjoy a healthy retirement.

Retiring with confidence and dignity

We have been proud to support the research and development of Deloitte’s new Retirement Solutions Assessment Framework, which we shared with delegates who visited our stand. The framework provides valuable guidance for super funds to explore retirement solutions available in the market or find the right partner to co-create bespoke retirement solutions specifically for your members. Shining a light on skin cancer

As part of our commitment to preventative health, throughout the conference we were pleased to provide our TAL SpotChecker skin cancer screening service. Of the 59 delegates who had their skin checked by a skin cancer specialist doctor, 27% were referred on for further investigation. We know that early detection is the key to successful treatment, so if you haven’t checked your skin lately, visit our SpotChecker page to find out what to look for or speak with your GP.

Starting conversations

Our conference program included two parallel sessions which each generated lots of food for thought and conversation. On Wednesday, Dan Taylor, TAL GM Partnerships joined industry colleagues to discuss where the digital rubber hits the road in group insurance. This session investigated alternative digital strategies being implemented across the group insurers value chain and the role that digital plays in delivering effective group insurance outcomes for funds.

On Thursday, Chris Healey, TAL GM Claims, chaired a thought-provoking discussion with a diverse group of public and private workforce experts on the topic of building an engaged and healthy workforce for Australia’s future workplace. Find out Chris’ thoughts on the discussion here.
